Chrome de la Chrome Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 12/30/2024

Thank you for using Chrome de la Chrome (CDLC) (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding our use of that information.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to all users of the CDLC Chrome extension (“Extension”) and those who receive daily email offers from CDLC. By installing or using our Extension, or signing up for our services, you agree to the practices outlined below.

2. Information We Collect

  1. Browsing Tags:

    • What We Collect: Our Extension notes the types of websites you visit (e.g., gaming sites, fashion blogs), but never stores the raw browsing history on our servers. Instead, we immediately transform those observations into broad interest tags (e.g., “Gaming Enthusiast,” “Budding Chef,” etc.).

    • Why: These tags help us (and participating brands) create more relevant daily email offers for you.

  2. Basic Demographic Details:

    • What We Collect: During sign-up, you may provide basic demographic info (e.g., age range, etc.).

    • Why: This helps refine your interest tags and improve offer relevance.

  3. Non-Personal Device & Usage Data:

    • What We Collect: General technical info like Extension version, anonymous usage statistics, or crash reports (where applicable).

    • Why: To maintain and improve the Extension’s performance and user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Creating Interest Tags: We convert your browsing patterns into non-personal tags (e.g., “High-End Fashionista”) that help match you with brands offering special 24-hour deals.

  • Email Offer Personalization: We send you daily emails featuring deals aligned with your tags.

  • No Raw Storage: We do not store raw browsing history or personally identifiable information (PII) on our servers. Your browsing details remain local except for the anonymized tags.

4. What We Share with Brands

  • Tags Only: We share only aggregated or tag-based insights (e.g., “20% of our users are Fashion Enthusiasts”). We never share raw browsing history or personal demographic info that could identify you.

  • Anonymous Audience Segments: Brands see audience segments like “Fitness Buffs” or “Gadget Gurus,” not individualized user data.

5. Data Retention & Security

  • No Raw Data: Because we don’t store raw history, there’s minimal risk of personal data breach from CDLC’s servers.

  • Secure Transmission: Any tag-based or demographic data communicated between your device and our servers is protected using industry-standard encryption methods.

  • Limited Retention: We retain broad interest tags only as long as needed to provide relevant deals and to comply with legal obligations, if any.

6. Your Choices & Controls

  1. Extension Installation/Removal: You can uninstall the CDLC Chrome Extension at any time through your browser’s extension manager.

  2. Daily Emails: If you no longer wish to receive daily offer emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in any of our emails.

  3. Opt-Out of Tag Creation: If you do not wish for us to create any browsing tags, simply do not install or remove the Extension.

  4. Access & Correction: Because we do not store personal information, there is no personal data to access or correct on our servers.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you (e.g., via email or a notice on our website) before the changes go into effect. Your continued use of the Extension or CDLC services after any update means you accept the revised Policy.
